Jill is best known as a Line Producer, Production Manager and Production Supervisor on numerous projects from Features Films to Television and Documentary.
After spending time living in the UK working in international foreign exchange markets, Jill continued in this line of work after returning to New Zealand. Seeking a change of direction, she took advantage of The Lord of the Rings trilogy shooting in New Zealand and managed to get herself on to the crew. From there she continued to develop her skills working with some Hollywood’s elite on blockbusters including The Legend of Zorro, The Last Samurai, Aliens in the Attic, The Waterhorse, Pete’s Dragon and Dinosaurs of Antarctica. She has worked with many Oscar winning producers and directors such as Barrie Osborne, Peter Jackson, Martin Campbell, Edward Zwick and Roger Donaldson and looked after leading actors including Tom Cruise, Robert Redford, Orlando Bloom and Bryce Dallas Howard. Jill has also worked on a number of local New Zealand films and to compliment her feature film work she branched out into television and documentaries, adding to her credits with shows such as Spartacus and feature documentaries McLaren and Colours of China. Jill’s enviable experience is multifaceted and spans all aspects of film & TV production. The knowledge she gained working in the London foreign exchange markets set her up for being an expert in managing budgets, resources and logistics and her skills are often called upon in an advisory capacity to many local and international productions and funding bodies. She has extensive knowledge of filming in New Zealand, knows the best locations to seek out, how to get the right crew for the job and what incentives and rebates are available to suit the job. |
